Intergenerational Playgroups St. John's on the Lake

PURPOSE: To provide an opportunity for children, parents, and assisted living residents to interact and play with each other in a relaxed, friendly, playful, organized environment.
 

IMPACT: Children will develop awareness of and relationships with members of the community they would otherwise not meet. Residents in the assisted living facility will have a chance to be around our energetic and humorous cutie-pies and offer their love and gentle care for them. 
 

ACTIVITIES:  Each month, we follow the same structure to help children and residents alike become familiar and comfortable in the playgroup.  We begin with the “Hello Song” followed by a book, a craft, and an activity.  If time permits we have free play followed by our  “Good Bye Song”.  Activities in the playgroup are planned around the theme of the month.  While we do follow some structure, we assure you that the structure of the playgroups only enhances the fun!
 

AGES: all ages welcome!

PARTICIPANT CAP:  There is a maximum of 20 participants.

COST:  There is not cost to participate 

MATERIALS:  Have your kids dress for play!

WHEN:  We are encouraging participants to sign up and email us to let us know when you are able to attend or not. We send out monthly emails with details.
